an interesting continuation to last week's bible verse. this verse made me study what Grace truly meant in the theological sense. we all know that grace means a free or unmerited favour or gift from God. but what does that entail on the giver's end and the receiver's end?
here's some of my notes: - the principle of transformation and action; calling for constant collaboration - THE MEANING OF GRACE (in my journal, it's an awesome graph, but i guess i'll have to type this out in a weird way. see if you understand: FAVOUR: by the gratuitous benevolence of a highly placed person; shown by Him who gives and bestows
| The bonds which reveal His image in us |
RECEIVER: the concrete witness of the favour; receives and finds grace
!!! Grace draws the receiver's attention and causes him to retain the favour; How should one live then??
Here's another graph (a even more simpler form)THE GRATUITY OF GRACE: Election > Salvation > Consecrated Mission > Fruitfulness
oou thanks for the post. as I read it for this week, and the whole week I was struggling to understand what it means ..what really got me was abound...but I got a chance to talk to jasmine and reading this.. it helps me and now I have a more thorough understanding of this passage. thanks!
